Foodbank Movement Part 2

As some of you may recall, last year I orchestrated a foodbank movement.

If you’re not familiar with it, you can read more about it here and here.

I plan to do the same again this, only this time I’d like to be able to get more people and businesses involved.

Christmas is an expensive time for all of us, but imagine not being able to provide your family with a meal over the festive period. Not being able to provide your children with a selection box, or being able to sit down on Christmas night with some festive treats whilst you watch your children play with the gifts that Santa delivered that day. It’s a luxury many of us take for granted.

As well as food specified by The Trussel Trust I am asking people to donate selection boxes, mince pies, Christmas puddings, cakes, biscuits, chocolates and sweets, and like last year if you can’t deliver food to my house (L19) I’m happy to take your donated money and do the shopping for you. Last year people I know from all across the UK donated £140 as well as over 30 bags of donated goods. How amazing is that! That’s Christmas spirit for you.

Your donation can be as little as 1 can of soup or £1, it all helps.

Donations are welcome from now until November 30th, I plan to deliver the food to The Noah’s Ark Centre in Speke in the first week in December, that way the volunteers will have enough time to sort out our donations in time for Christmas.

If you can help, do. Don’t sit back and wait for someone else to donate, be that change.

Thanks for reading.
